Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. It is important to note that Deep Tissue and deep pressure are not necessarily the same thing. Although deep pressure can be used (and it's important to keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that it's important to stay hydrated) Deep Tissue is primarily a modality that targets the deep muscles of the body- those that lie furthest away from the skin and closest to the bones. Sometimes deep pressure is required, but often this can be done with a lighter touch. Massage should not be painful- it should be a "good hurt," at most.
Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.
I am a certified neuromuscular therapist and my work involves targeting the dysfunctions that cause us pain. I use a combination of trigger point release, gentle stretching, and joint mobilization to bring the body and mind back into alignment, reduce pain and tension, and facilitate healing.
Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a “life force”, and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. The mind, body, and spirit are connected on a fundamental level, and energy work can help facilitate physical well-being.
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki can range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.
Salt or Oatmeal Scrub Massage

Energetically charged sea salt, or soothing oatmeal exfoliating massage. Custom aromatherapy and herbal blends, for a unique, tailored pampering experience. Add this on to any massage session to enhance and elevate your experience with a little extra self care, handmade just for you.
Aromatherapy - $25
Add a custom blend of essential oils to your massage session. From lavender to help you relax, to peppermint for sore and aching muscles, to invigorating citrus and inspiring rose- aromatherapy offers the intrinsic benefits of medicinal plants and is a feast for the senses. Our sense of smell is powerfully linked to memory and emotion, and can greatly enhance your experience.
CBD Massage - $25
Add soothing and comforting CBD oil, lotion or salt scrub to any massage session. CBD is an excellent topical pain reliever, and promotes relaxation, calm and mental clarity. If your muscles are shouting at you, this will help them melt into blissful silence.
Foot Massage

Our feet are the foundations we stand on. They hold us up, carry us from place to place, bear our weight. They support us as we work and as we dance. The are delicate and strong, able to uphold the entire body - and they deserve some extra focused attention! We use our feet for everything - standing, walking, running, driving, carrying. Treat your feet! Add some time for just your soles.
Scalp and Face Massage

They say that our face reflects our inner self, that the eyes are windows to the soul. It's our first impression, our means of communication, of self expression. Our faces carry all our sorrows and our joys. The face is a complex network of intricate musculature- it takes 17 muscles to smile, and 43 muscles to frown. Is your brow furrowed with anxiety? Does your head ache? Do you have jaw pain? Face massage can be both soothing and invigorating. Scalp massage can be incredibly relaxing. It can stimulate hair growth, address headaches and neck pain, release buried stress. Let your worries fade away- add some focused attention to the face and scalp.
